Multiple Myeloma Information Center
Each year in the United States, close to 20,000 people are diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Thanks to improvements in treatment, however, multiple myeloma patients are living longer. It is estimated that there are more than 56,000 multiple myeloma survivors in the U.S. today.
Advances in targeted therapy, chemotherapy, and stem cell transplantation have contributed to improved multiple myeloma survival. In addition, advances in supportive care have made multiple myeloma treatment more tolerable, leading to improved quality of life.
Understanding multiple myeloma treatment options, the role of different doctors specializing in the treatment of multiple myeloma, and how and when to access new and innovative multiple myeloma treatment options available through clinical trials is essential in order to achieve the best outcome from multiple myeloma treatment.
The Cancer Consultants Multiple Myeloma Information Center has been designed to help patients understand multiple myeloma and multiple myeloma treatment options while providing ongoing information, inspiration, support, and community to individuals affected by a diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
